Your New Role 

We are looking for a Treasury Specialist for an exciting interim assignment to our client in Gothenburg!

In this role, you will take a central position in managing treasury activities, with a particular focus on financial risk management, liquidity, cash forecasting and insurance. The position combines strategic responsibility with hands-on execution and offers the opportunity to work closely with both local and global finance organizations.

You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the Group Treasury organization, acting as a key local treasury contact.

As Treasury Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring effective management of the company's financial risks and liquidity while providing treasury expertise to the wider organization.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing, monitoring and mitigating FX, commodity price and interest rate risks.

• Coordinating and executing hedging activities in line with established Group policies.

• Taking ownership of liquidity management and cash flow forecasting, including short- and long-term forecasts.

• Monitoring liquidity and ensuring sufficient funding to support business operations.

• Managing relationships with banks and financial institutions, including financing and liquidity-related matters.

• Taking overall responsibility for the company's insurance programmes, including renewals, claims and coordination with external advisors.

• Working closely with Group Treasury on global initiatives, projects and process improvements.

• Providing treasury expertise and support to Accounting, Controlling, FP&A and other business functions.

• Acting as Travel Manager, overseeing the internal travel booking system and related processes.

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

• A university degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.

• Several years of experience within Treasury, Corporate Finance, Banking or Financial Risk Management.

• Strong experience in FX, commodity and interest rate risk management.

• Solid experience in liquidity management and cash flow forecasting.

• Practical experience with hedging instruments and strategies.

• Experience of working with banks and financial institutions, including financing and liquidity solutions.

• Excellent analytical skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Meritorious: Experience with Treasury Management Systems or ERP systems.

• Meritorious: Knowledge of Bloomberg.
