Your New Role 

We are looking for a Consultant Acquisition Specialist to join a dynamic organization and take responsibility for the end-to-end engagement lifecycle of external consultants within Staff Augmentation.

In this role, you will act as a key link between hiring managers, suppliers, Procurement and other stakeholders. You will ensure that consultant demand is clearly defined, sourced efficiently and handled in a structured, compliant and cost-conscious way.

You will work in an evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly, making strong judgement, communication and stakeholder management essential.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end consultant engagement process, ensuring accurate administration, traceability and compliance.

• Review incoming consultant requests, clarify requirements and challenge unclear or incomplete demand.

• Lead sourcing through the preferred supplier network, managing exceptions and escalations when required.

• Select and brief suppliers, evaluate candidate submissions, build shortlists and provide structured feedback.

• Support consultant selection and fee/rate alignment, using benchmarking and commercial insight to balance cost, quality and speed.

• Manage consultant extensions, early terminations, offboarding and compliance-related escalations.

• Collaborate closely with Procurement and internal stakeholders to strengthen processes, supplier performance and the preferred supplier model.

• Contribute to KPI follow-up, reporting and continuous improvement of the consultant engagement process.

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

• A relevant academic background in HR, Business, Procurement, Operations or a related field – or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience in consultant acquisition, contingent workforce management, procurement-supported hiring, vendor management or a similar role involving suppliers, stakeholders and end-to-end process coordination.

• Experience working with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) and preferably KPI reporting and data-driven follow-up.

• The ability to navigate a complex organization and collaborate effectively across different functions.
