Your New Role
We are looking for a senior Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in credit risk models within banking and finance, ideally with knowledge of IRB 3.0. The assignment is with a leading Nordic bank, within a central risk function responsible for measuring, analyzing, and reporting the bank’s risks, with credit risk being the largest exposure.
You will be part of a value stream working on the development, implementation, and operation of credit risk models used to assess portfolio risks and expected credit losses. The team consists of Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers, and we are now looking to strengthen the team with a structured, technically skilled, and analytically strong Business Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Work in a cross-functional team implementing, maintaining, and operating credit risk models in one of the bank’s highest-priority initiatives.
- Collaborate with software engineers, business analysts, risk officers, architects, and product owners to drive system and model improvements.
- Analyze and document requirements.
- Plan, execute, and document testing activities.
- Participate in investigations of existing and new solutions.
- Ensure documentation of models and solutions is accurate and up to date.
- Work with SQL and contribute to data modeling and database-related tasks.

End date: 2026-06-30, with possibility of extension.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Several years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services.
- Experience with credit risk, regulatory frameworks, and model development (preferably IRB).
- Strong technical skills, comfortable with SQL, databases, and data modeling concepts.
- Excellent analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
